Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you ask Slabworks Concrete Coatings of Stockton to do. When you browse the site, starting from our home page, or request an estimate, call us or book a job, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you do.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site or book work with us until we've talked it through. A signed proposal or contract for your job can add to these terms, and where the two differ, the signed document for your job wins.

Who we are and what we do

Slabworks Concrete Coatings of Stockton is a flooring contractor based in Stockton, CA. We coat, polish, stain, seal, grind and resurface concrete floors for homes and businesses in Stockton and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page.

What you read on this site is general information about our services and how concrete floors usually behave. It isn't a quote, and it isn't advice for your particular slab, because we can't know what your floor needs until we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation to hire us. Your price depends on what we find on site, such as the size of the area, the shape the concrete is in, cracks or old coatings that have to come off, moisture in the slab and the floor system you choose.

Your written proposal sets out the work and the price, and it stays good for the period it states. Sometimes grinding the floor shows damage or moisture we couldn't see at the estimate, and if that changes the work or the cost, we'll explain it and get your OK before we do anything extra.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you, but treat it as a target, because temperature, humidity and slab moisture all affect when a coating can go down and how long it takes to cure. If conditions aren't right, we'll move the date rather than put down a floor that may fail.

You agree to give our crew access to the work area, clear it of vehicles and belongings before we arrive, and keep people, pets and cars off the new floor for as long as we tell you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (209) 420-1084 as early as you can. How any deposit is handled is written in your proposal, and any right to cancel that California law gives you still applies.

Payment

Your proposal lists any deposit, when the balance is due and the ways you can pay. Please pay by the dates it shows, because we order materials and set aside crew time for your job based on that schedule.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled, and we may charge any late fees or collection costs that your proposal states and that the law allows.

Our guarantee and its limits

We stand behind our work, and every job comes with our satisfaction guarantee. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come back out and look at it. Any written warranty for your floor, and how long it lasts, is spelled out in your proposal.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from misuse, impacts, chemicals or spills left sitting on the floor, cracks or movement in the slab underneath, moisture coming up through the concrete after the job, normal wear, or not following the care instructions we give you. Apart from what we promise in writing, this website and its content are provided as they are, without any other promise or warranty.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and insured, and we take care with your property. To the extent the law allows, Slabworks Concrete Coatings of Stockton isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost business, lost use of a space or the cost of storing things while the floor cures.

If we're found responsible for a problem with our work, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, unless California law requires otherwise. Nothing here limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Working out a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything, call us first. Most problems get sorted out on site once we can see the floor and talk it through, and we'll work with you in good faith to fix it.

If we can't settle it between us, either of us may suggest mediation before going further. Any court case about the website or our work will be heard in the courts serving San Joaquin County, California.

Which state's law applies

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll post the new version on this page. The version posted when you book your job is the one that applies to it, and if you keep using the site after we post a change, you're agreeing to the updated terms.
